A predictive astrology technique in which each day after birth symbolically represents one year of life ('a day for a year'), producing a slowly evolving progressed chart that tracks inner development over time.
Secondary progressions are a predictive technique built on a simple symbolic rule: each day after your birth stands for one year of your life — “a day for a year.” The planetary positions a few weeks after you were born describe the themes of your thirties.
Where transits track the actual sky moving over your chart from the outside, progressions describe inner development — how the natal chart matures from within. Because the technique is slow and personal, most consumer astrology apps skip it. A tool that layers progressions (and solar arc directions) into its readings is doing markedly more than a daily sun-sign horoscope.
